Silicone Masking Blanket

The S/W 35 Silicone/Glass Masking Blanket provides excellent, re-usable masking coverage for larger surface areas, replacing the need for excessive amounts of masking tape. Through repeated use, use of this material in place of masking tape can save considerable masking/unmasking time and cost.

A masked part tape and S/W 35 Masking Blanket

A specialized use for our S/W 35 Silicone Coated Fiberglass Fabrics involves covering large non-target surfaces of a part or component undergoing thermal spray.

Due to the tough and heat-resistant nature of the silicone/glass construction, and non-stick surface, the fabric provides a flexible, durable and re-usable secondary surface mask in any type of thermal spray environment.

Because it replaces the use of tape, its use as a re-usable Masking Blanket can save considerable time and cost.

The S/W 35 Masking Blanket has a 35 mil thickness, is coated on both sides, is white in colour, and best suited to the thermal spray coating environment.
